How are my Impression Share metrics in Bing calculated?

TapAnalytics exposes 6 Impression Type metrics from Bing in the platform. What you see in Bing might different slightly from what you see in TapAnalytics. The reason for this is because of how that data is processed and stored.

Since we don't have access to the raw data and formula to create the actual IS value for any date range, we store this data on a daily level from the Bing API. This means that when you choose to look at a date range in the TapAnaltyics platform, we need to handle that data display in some way.

As such, TapAnalytics applies a weighted average against Impressions for each day in the date range selected. This will give more weight to the IS values where more impressions were served and cancel out any 0 vales that might bring down a true average.
