Custom Channels

Custom Channels allow you to combine Data Sources to create totals across all of your campaigns. Please note that there are predefined Channels that already exist within the dashboard.

 

Predefined Channels

  • Email Data Sources
  • Website/Landing Tracking Data Sources
  • SEO
  • Social Data Sources
  • SEM/PPC Data Sources
  • Lead Tracking Data Sources
  • Display Data Sources

Creating the Channels

  1. Click on Administration
  2. Click on Channels
  3. Click on the plus sign (+) next to the  Channels header
  4. Choose your  Channel name
  5. Choose the Data Sources that you want to include in the channel
  6. Choose the Color for the channel tile
  7. Click into the colored square to choose an Icon from the library
  8. Select whether or not you want the system to Automatically create channel metrics
  9. Click Save changes

 

Note that if you choose to let the system automatically create metrics once you save the channel you will see a bunch of metrics populate under a Data View.

 

 

 Building Data Views

  1. Click the plus sign next to the Data Views header
  2. Name your Data view
  3. Select the Service Views you are intending to combine from the individual drop down menus
  4. Click the add button next to the drop downs to add them to your new data view
  5. Click Save changes

 

Choosing Your Metrics

  1. Make sure you have completed the steps above!
  2. Click on the plus sign (+) next to the new Data View you created
  3. Create your Metric name
  4. Select the Data Type for the metric you are creating
  5. Select the Metric you want from the drop down menu for Available Metrics
  6. Click add to make that metric active
  7. Repeat for each Service you want included in this metric
  8. Click Save changes to save the channel metric
  9. You can repeat until all the custom metrics you want are created


Channel Overview

  • Much like the Data Sources Overview, the Channel Overview allows for you to see all of the Channels in one place with high level metrics.
  • You can also set this as the homepage for users if you want them to login and go to this screen instead of the Data Sources Overview.

Data Profiles – Channels

  1. Click on Administration
  2. Click on Data Profiles
  3. Edit your Default Profile or create a new Data Profile by clicking on the plus sign (+) next to the Data Profile header
  4. Once in the Data Profile you will see a new tab titled Channels​, click on it
    1. In this tab you can control what metrics appear as Dashboard Metrics, as Top Metrics and in the Main Columns
  5. Click on Save changes when you are done with all your edits and you’re done!
